I had a very refreshing phone call from a client a couple of nights ago. This client had an offer on a home (that I introduced them to and I wrote and negotiated the offer for them) subject to the sale of theirs. The seller’s were a For Sale By Owner representing themselves. Our offer was bumped a couple of weeks ago by a second offer. I asked the Seller’s to call me if the new offer fell through. Instead of calling me when the new deal fell through, they contacted my clients directly and offered to sell their house to my clients for less if they ‘cut me out of the deal’. My clients were totally disgusted with the lack of integrity of the Seller’s and called me to tell me so. They also told me that they were no longer interested in this home because of the Seller’s actions.
I would like to formally thank my clients for their loyalty and praise them on their integrity!!! I am very fortunate to have these clients in my life. Their actions show that they are made up of the same stuff that my Grandfather taught my family. He taught us respect, that your word is gospel, to stand up for what you believe is right, and always treat others how you would like to be treated.
I have worked hard to build my business on loyalty and trust. I am very fortunate to of attracted clients with the same beliefs.
So, Kevin and Stacey Thank you.

Surprising results of a new survey show that 81% of Canadians who describe themselves as financially knowledgeable and engaged have a high level of confidence in their portfolio strategies and are not panicked by the financial meltdown.
The survey, conducted by the Financial Forum & Wealth Management Expo, finds the financially well versed are not only calm, but see an abundance of opportunity in the markets’ current instability. In fact, 70% of respondents said the current market conditions have presented good buying opportunities.
“What we’re seeing is that those armed with the knowledge they need to take control of their personal finances are reacting with relative ease to the current market conditions, because they feel they have the tools to make the most of the situation,” said Harry Apostolatos, Financial Forum event director, in a statement. “They can distill through the noise and as such keep a reasonable perspective on shifting dynamics.”
Of the 815 Canadians polled in early October, 65% said they remain calm when markets are volatile, Read the rest of this entry »
